CBS DETROIT - Detroit Lions running back Joique Bell and right tackle LaAdrian Waddle both announced on social media this week that they were undergoing surgery. Waddle wrote Wednesday that he would be having a procedure, and Bell posted a photo Thursday and wrote his surgery was a success.

Waddle suffered a knee injury in Week 15 that forced him to miss the final two regular season games and the wild-card playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys. Between the injury to his knee and an assortment of other injuries, Waddle played only 10 games in 2014.

Bell led the Lions with 860 rushing yards and seven touchdowns over 223 attempts this season. He missed one game after suffering a concussion. The nature of his surgery is unknown.
