When Jim Leyland was the manager of the Detroit Tigers, he was known for many things: a tough attitude, holding himself and his players to a high standard and being short with the media.
One thing he was not known for was a gleeful smile.
Retirement must be nice for Leyland, because he seems much cheerier now that he's taken a behind-the-scenes role with the team. Leyland entered the 21st century on Thursday, as Director of Detroit Tigers Foundation Jordan Field tweeted Leyland's "first selfie."
