Jim Harbaugh Fires Back At Gene Smith With Tattoo Tweet; Ezekiel Elliott And Smith Respond

When Michigan beats Ohio State with Jim Harbaugh at the helm, I can't even imagine the trash talk that will ensue.

Tuesday afternoon, while talking with reporters, Ohio State AD Gene Smith took a subtle shot at Michigan for their spring practices in Florida.

Jim Harbaugh must have heard about the comment and decided to fire back at Smith.

"Good to see Director Smith being relevant again after the tattoo fiasco. Welcome back!" Harbaugh said on his Twitter account.

Harbaugh is referencing the tattoo scandal that happened at Ohio State between 2010 and 2011 that ultimately lead to former head coach Jim Tressel's resignation.

Ohio State's RB Ezekiel Elliott decided to jump in on the fun as well.

Michigan lost to Ohio State last season 42-13 and Elliott ran for 214 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Gene Smith has now apologized for the comment that was made Tuesday.

Did Smith really need to apologize? There shouldn't be apologizes in rivalries. And is it starting to look like Harbaugh has a thin skin?
