Jenner, Johansen Lift Columbus Over Detroit In SO

DETROIT (AP) — Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 30 shots through overtime and two more in a shootout as the Columbus Blue Jackets outlasted the Detroit Red Wings 1-0 on Tuesday night for their seventh straight win.

Boone Jenner and Ryan Johansen both scored in the tiebreaker for Columbus against Jimmy Howard, who made 29 saves. Detroit has lost four straight.

Columbus has three shootout wins during its streak.

Pavel Datsyuk had the lone shootout goal for Detroit, which has dropped three consecutive home games in shootouts.

Bobrovsky allowed five goals to Detroit in a Nov. 18 shutout loss in Columbus.

The teams combined for 13 shots in the first period and had better scoring chances in the second.

Bobrovsky stopped Justin Abdelkader's point-blank attempt at 3:21 of the period, and the Blue Jackets narrowly missed a goal five minutes later when Nick Foligno's shot hit the left post, struck Howard's back, and bounced out of the crease.

The Blue Jackets' Corey Tropp had a good look close to the net midway through the third, but Howard corralled the puck before Tropp could get much on the shot.

The best overtime chance came when James Wisniewski fired wide of an open net early in the period.
