Jackknifed Semi Snarls Traffic On I-75 Near Rouge River Bridge

DETROIT (WWJ) - A jackknifed semi-truck caused quite a backup on I-75 in the thick of the morning rush hour Thursday.

The accident happened just after 8:30 a.m. on southbound I-75 at Schaefer Avenue, near the Rouge River Bridge.

Traffic was backed up for more than a mile while crews worked to move the semi-truck, which was blocking all lanes, to the shoulder. All lanes have since reopened to traffic.

It's unclear if anyone was injured.

For the latest from the roads, stay with WWJ Newsradio 950 during Traffic and Weather on the 8s, 24-hours a day. Check for recent incidents now on the CBS Detroit Traffic Page.
