Is Joba Chamberlain Trying To Be Like Brian Wilson With The Beard?

You probably have noticed a couple things about Tigers reliever Joba Chamberlain...
1. He's done an excellent job in winning the set-up man role and has been a great lead in to Joe Nathan.
2. He's done an excellent job of growing a fantastic beard.
Chamberlain has been growing a beard for the last five months simply because he's never been able to grow one while playing baseball. That, and razors are way too damn pricey...
"Razors are expensive" Chamberlain said. "They are like $18 for some cartridges, man, it's killing me."
Chamberlain plans on letting the beard grow and he doesn't really know when he'll cut it off. Of course there's downsides to everything and having a beard is no different...
"I might have to keep Miggy far away because he likes to pull it and he forgets how strong he is and it hurts," Chamberlain said.
But is he copying L.A. Dodger Brian Wilson, you know the guy who's whole shtick is having a big, giant, black beard?
