Investigation Underway After House Explosion Kills 3 People, 2 Dogs

THETFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say three people have been killed after a house exploded and caught fire in northern Genesee County.

The Flint Journal reports firefighters arrived Thursday afternoon to find the house engulfed in flames. In addition to the people, two dogs also died in the Thetford Township home.

Police haven't identified the victims.

Township Police Chief Robert Kenny says there were several explosions but investigators don't know the cause.
