Insane Clown Posse To Discuss Fans, Gang Label

DETROIT (AP) - The rap-metal duo Insane Clown Posse is attending a Detroit news conference to discuss a dispute between its fans and federal authorities.

Insane Clown Posse fans are called Juggalos. In 2011, the FBI included Juggalos in a national report on gangs. Lawyers for Insane Clown Posse filed a lawsuit seeking documents that would explain how the FBI made that designation. The case is pending in Flint federal court.

The American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan is holding a news conference Wednesday to announce action on behalf of Juggalos. No other details have been released.

Insane Clown Posse is Joseph Bruce, known as Violent J, and Joseph Utsler, known as Shaggy 2 Dope. They're from the Detroit area. They say their fans are a family, not a gang.
