Injury Report: Lions Look Good For Game With 49ers, But Big Names Remain Beat Up

By Danny Cox

The Detroit Lions have one of the shortest injury reports they've had all season as they head into the second-to-last game of 2015. With the San Francisco 49ers on the schedule for Sunday, Detroit is hoping to continue the success of last week's upset victory over the New Orleans Saints, but it won't be easy.

First off, there are no players officially listed as probable, doubtful or out for this week. That seems good, but it doesn't mean that it's all good news.

Safety Glover Quinn, for all intents and purposes, will not be playing against the 49ers at all on Sunday. He is still in the league's concussion protocol and, though listed as questionable, he most likely won't be on the field at all for the game.

Cornerback Dwight Bentley is also currently seen as a game-time decision even though he is also listed as questionable. An illness has kept him out of practice almost the entire week, so the Lions will wait and see how he is right when it's time to take the field against San Francisco.

Six other players are listed as questionable for Detroit, and they were limited in practice on Friday.

Wide receiver Calvin Johnson may be playing his last ever home game for the Lions on Sunday, but that still remains to be seen. He's questionable with an ankle injury that has bothered him since the middle of the season, but he will most likely be on the field and ready to go. Only time will tell if it will be Megatron's last home game in silver and blue.

Defensive tackles Haloti Ngata (neck) and Caraun Reid (ankle) are questionable again with injuries that have also nagged them for a few weeks now. They will likely be ready to play on Sunday, so Lions fans shouldn't worry too much about it.

The Detroit Lions can finish out the season strong and have another win streak after last week's victory. The San Francisco 49ers are already in a rebuilding mode and a healthy Lions team is a good one, so it should be another good Sunday.
