In The Path Of Hurricane Matthew: Metro Detroiter Now Living In Bahamas

DETROIT (WWJ) - Hurricane Matthew appears to be making a beeline for Bahamas and that puts one Metro Detroiter in its path.

Dawn Knowles is originally from Canton, but now owns the Crew Pub in Nassau-the Bahamas' capital city. Knowles joined WWJ's Stephanie Davis Wednesday night for an local update as Matthew takes aim in the Bahamas and parts of Florida's Atlantic coast.



Online Weather.com saying that this hurricane may be a rare major hurricane strike as conditions deteriorate in the Bahamas.

Hurricane Matthew could knock out power for approximately 7 million people in the United States in a wide swath stretching from Miami to the Carolinas - according to power outage forecasts by researchers at several universities including the University of Michigan.
