Chauncey Billups became a member of the Detroit Pistons in 2002 and at that time all I really knew about him is he was a less-than-stellar third overall pick.

Billups transitioned into the face of the Detroit Pistons. A three-time All-Star with the Pistons and known as "Mr. Big Shot," Billups won over the fans of the city. He wasn't flashy, he didn't hammer home dunks but he was a true point guard. The way he ran the Pistons showed me that you didn't need to have flash to be a NBA Superstar and I believe that's exactly what Billups was as a member of the Pistons.

In honor of Billups having his number 1 retired by the Pistons Wednesday night against his hometown Denver Nuggets here are my three favorite moments from Billups time with the Pistons.

3. The way Mason introduced Chauncey Billups always gave me goose bumps, something about the way he said "In the Pistons home red, blue and white tonight, the six-three, Chauncey B-B-B-Billups!" will always give me chills.

And who can forget when he was introduced as a member of the Denver Nuggets in his first time returning to the Palace of Auburn Hills? The introduction he received along with the ovation was second to none.

2. The Pistons lead the L.A. Lakers in game 5 of the NBA Finals and lead 69-55 and Billups made this incredible circus shot.

1. Down three in the 2004 NBA Playoffs to the New Jersey Nets with just under three seconds left, Chauncey earned the nickname "Mr. Big Shot."
