Hungry Thief Takes TV Dinners, Groceries During Flint Break-In
FLINT (WWJ/AP) - Police say a burglar was apparently feeling some hunger pangs when they broke into a home in Flint.
A man told police he left his home on Indiana Avenue around 10 a.m. last Friday and returned just a few hours later, around 2:30 p.m., to find that his home had been burglarized.
The man started taking inventory of his possessions and noticed that his flat-screen TV was missing -- a common target in robberies. But more perplexing, police say, was that the home's cupboards were also targeted.
According to a police report, 16 TV dinners were taken along with drinks, a pack of pork chops, four cans of vegetable soup and four cans of chicken noodle soup.
Police say they have no suspects, although the incident remains under investigation.
