Human Skull, Bones Found Under Porch In Detroit's Boston Edison District

DETROIT (WWJ) - An investigation is underway after a human skull and bones were found in neighborhood at the center of Detroit.

Police tell WWJ Newsradio 950 they're at the scene, Wednesday afternoon, at a home near Voigt Park in the heart of the city's historic Boston-Edison Historic District.

According to investigators, the remains were discovered under a porch by a drywall contractor who was working at the property, in the 600-block of Longfellow Street, late Wednesday morning.

Police are not saying how old the bones might be or if they're that of an adult or a child.

It's unclear at this time if anyone lives in the house.
