Human Remains Found In Abandoned Lot On City's West Side

DETROIT (WWJ) - An investigation is underway after human remains were found over the weekend on Detroit's west side.

Police made the discovery Sunday in an abandoned lot in the Seven Mile and John R area -- investigators say most of that block is filled with abandoned or burned out homes.

The remains have been sent to a lab to determine an identity.
