Hop Aboard A One-Of-A-Kind Brew Cruise Down The Rouge River

DEARBORN (WWJ) - It's a chance to see the Rouge River like never before, with an ice cold beer in your hand.

Non-profit organization Friends of the Rouge is inviting you aboard a one-of-a-kind brew cruise that takes you from the Detroit River up the most industrialized urban river in the country, the Rouge River.

The cruise sets sail from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, and featured brews from Michigan's Kuhnhenn Brewing Company.

Cruisers will be riding aboard the Diamond Belle, the featured riverboat in the Diamond Jack fleet. Aside from taking in the sights, you can talk one-on-one with a Kuhnhenn representative while tasting sampled offerings, grab a slice of pizza from Detroit's own Sicily's Pizza, or listen to live entertainment by Barry Brickey.

Reservations for the Rouge Brew Cruise are $55 and include the 2 ½ hour cruise, generous Kuhnhenn beer samples, pizza and a snack (other beverages will be available for purchase). Advance registration is encouraged and seats are confirmed upon payment. Rouge Brew is an adults-only event and all guests must be at least 21 years of age with proper identification.

All proceeds benefit Friends of the Rouge and their work to promote restoration and stewardship of the Rouge River. For more information or to make Rouge Brew reservations, visit therouge.org or call 313-792-9900.
