RoboZone, a new television series about the competitive intersection of high school sports and technological innovation through robotics – the first TV series of its kind in the U. S. -- will debut statewide on Sunday, March 1 at noon. The series opener will preview the 2015 events in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). Subsequent shows will chronicle the season's six district competitions throughout the state, culminating in the 4-day State Championships to be held at DeltaPlex Arena, April 8-11.

The series will be broadcast in Southeastern Michigan on CW50, in Western Michigan on WOTV and statewide on the Comcast Network.

Southfield-based State Champs Sports Network developed and will produce the series.

"RoboZone is a natural extension of our network's focus on the high school experience, the competitive spirit among the emerging generation of new leaders not only in sports, but in business and technological innovation as well," said Mark Rottenberk, Regional Sales Manager for State Champs.
