'Harry Potter' Daniel Radcliffe Set To Play Wizard In Toy Franchise

(CNN) -- Daniel Radcliffe isn't too old to play with toys.

The actor, 30, best known as the titular wizard of the "Harry Potter" films, is voicing secret agent Rex Dasher in the upcoming animated action film "Playmobil: The Movie."

The movie is based on the popular toy franchise Playmobil, similar to the wildly successful 2014 "LEGO Movie."

In "Playmobil," Dasher partners with a food truck driver, voiced by Jim Gaffigan, and a savvy civilian, voiced by Anya Taylor-Joy, to rescue citizens who have vanished, distributor STX Entertainment says.

A trailer for the movie was released Tuesday.

"Saturday Night Live's" Kenan Thompson and musicians Adam Lambert and Meghan Trainor are also featured in the cast.

The film will be in theaters August 30.
