Happy Rush Hour! I-275 Northbound Re-opens For Travel

DETROIT (WWJ) - Happy rush hour!

I-275 northbound has re-opened from the I-96/M-14 to I-96/I-696/M-5 interchange.

According to M-DOT, the entrance ramps at 8 Mile, 7 Mile and 6 Mile roads opened Tuesday evening as well as the rest of the freeway, up to I-696, a short time later in the night.

M-Dot is reminding motorists the M-5 east and west ramps through the interchange will remain closed until mid-September.

Additional work will close lanes and ramps but will be limited to off-peak times, whenever possible, through the fall.
