Hamtramck Family Holds Out Hope Teen Son Will Be Found Safe

HAMTRAMCK (WWJ) - One Hamtramck family continues to hold out hope their teenage son will be found safe and sound.

This after Amari  Sands went missing Tuesday. The sophomore was last seen leaving Hamtramck High school.

Sand's father -- Henry-- tells WWJ his son is believed to be still in the area.

"What I'm assuming now is that he got one or two friends that might still be going to school that might be throwing him some bus fare and might be riding the bus line all day."

Meantime -- it's believe a reported dispute with a teacher -- and trouble with a girlfriend may have led to the teen's disappearance.
