Halfway To Halloween: Erebus Owner Explains Harrowing Event Happening This Weekend

PONTIAC (WWJ) - This weekend marks the inaugural Halfway to Halloween event at Erebus

What exactly is it?

"It's something to hold you over until Halloween," explained Ed Terebus, owner of Erebus in Pontiac.

It happens 7 p.m. to midnight Friday, 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Visitors will get a 4-inch glow stick to make their way through the totally dark haunted house. So, how terrifying is it?

"It's funny scary and really scary, a lot of it depends on what you're afraid of," Terebus said, adding that for folks afraid of the dark it will be extra terrifying.

He's expecting thousands of people to spend 35 to 45 minutes inside. It's about a half-mile walk to get through the entire house.

Tickets are $28, and available at hauntedpontiac.com, where you can pick your arrival time to avoid lines. You can also buy them at the door of the event.

Full details, and a code for $3 off admission, are available HERE.
