Half-Mile Long Haunted Attraction Opens In Pontiac

PONTIAC, Mich. (AP) - One of the scariest things about a haunted attraction that has opened for the Halloween season in Pontiac might be its lost-and-found display case.

A set of dentures is one of the newest items in the case at Erebus Haunted Attraction. Others include wallets, belts, cell phones, eyeglasses, shoes and hairpieces lost over the years by its thousands of customers reports the Oakland Press.

Co-owner Ed Terebus says, "Somebody screamed so loud they lost their teeth."

The half-mile haunted path takes patrons past snarling creatures, morgues, a bottomless pit, among other scares. Erebus employs about 250 people during the season. About 100 are actors working each night in costume or behind the scenes on special-effects.

The house first opened in 2000 in a building built in 1928.
