Gunman Wears "Scream" Mask In Gas Station Robbery [VIDEO]

NORTHFIELD TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - Police in a small Washtenaw County community are looking for suspect who robbed a gas station at gunpoint, wearing a well-known horror movie mask.

The creepy crime happened Thursday, Sept. 3 at the Shell station on North Territorial Road near US-23 in Northfield Township.

Surveillance video shows a man in a Ghostface mask from "Scream" walk in, call for the clerk and demand cash from the register.

"I'm not gonna hurt you," the robber says, before ordering the clerk to "hurry up."

"Sorry I had to do this..." he adds, before fleeing with the cash.

The robber — who judging by skin showing on the back of his neck appears to be a Caucasian — has a slim build. He was wearing dark pants, a black and gray raglan style t-shirt, shiny black dress shoes and dark gloves and carrying a handgun and a red bag.

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call Northfield Township police at 734-449-9911.
