Gunman Flees After Holding Up 7-Eleven Store

CLINTON TWP. (WWJ) - Police are searching for the gunman who held-up a 7-Eleven convenience store in Macomb County.

The incident happened just before 1 a.m. Tuesday at the 7-Eleven on 15 Mile and Kelly roads, just west of Groesbeck Highway in Clinton Township.

According to police, the suspect entered the store, jumped over the counter, pointed a dark-colored handgun at the clerk and demanded money.

The suspect removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register before locking the clerk in the back room, police said. The suspect then fled the store on foot, heading north.

The suspect is described as possibly an Asian male, 20- to 25-years-old, 5'6" to 5'8" tall and 150 pounds with a thin mustache. At the time, he was wearing a thin royal-blue hooded jacket with white strings, dark athletic pants with a large white stripe down the legs, black glasses, white gloves and black shoes.
