Mattison will assume the duties as defensive line coach for Michigan. He has previously worked with Jack and John Harbaugh, and will now work with Jim for the first time in his career.

Mattison spent the past four seasons as Michigan's Defensive Coordinator. His defenses have ranked among the top 20 nationally in three of the four seasons in total defense, pass defense and scoring defense.
