Gravel road grading taking place in parts of Northville Township

Gravel road grading is taking place in Northville Township, which is in Wayne County, Michigan. 

Wayne County Roads Division started grading the gravel road areas March 3, and will continue until March 17, in the following areas: 

  • Napier Road between Six Mile Road and Eight Mile Road. 
  • Ridge Road between Five Mile Road and Seven Mile Road. 
  • Main Street between Beck Road and Clement Road. 
  • Six Mile Road between Ridge Road and Napier Road. 

A social media post from Northville Township officials explained that recent weather conditions have contributed to the deteriorating road conditions. 

"We have been in contact with Wayne County and they have been informed about the issues affecting the gravel roads. Unfortunately, the combination of the frost thaw and recent rainfall has significantly hindered road maintenance efforts," Northville Township officials said.
