Gov. Whitmer Announces Extended Benefits For Food Stamp Recipients

(CBS DETROIT) - Households eligible for Michigan's food stamp program will have their benefits extended through the end of the month. 

Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced the additional benefits will go to 350,000 families in response to Covid-19.

The funds will be reloaded onto the state's bridge cards by May 31.
