Gov. Rick Snyder took to the Michigan Chronicle's "Pancakes and Politics" stage at the second forum of the 2014 season as the sold out audience of over 400 who heard the state's top elected leader discuss the city of Detroit, the Emergency Manager, education, his game plan for the state and thoughts of his political future during the far ranging conversation.
The event was moderated by Carol Cain, Emmy winning senior producer/host of CBS 62's Michigan Matters." CBS 62 is a media partner with the Chronicle of the annual spring time series as is WWJ Newsradio 950.
You can hear what Cain, Senior Editor Bankole Thompson, Democratic Party Chair Lon Johnson, Republican Party Chair Bobby Schostak, WW Group President and CEO Florine Mark, MBMPA Founder Ed Deeb asked the governor which caused some applause, some hisses and a few laughs.
The third "Pancakes and Politics" forum will be held on Thursday, May 15 at the DAC when it's the CEOs turn to take to the stage. Panelists include: Rick DeVor, of PNC Bank, Dr. William Pickard, of Global Automotive Alliance, Nancy Schlichting, of Henry Ford Health System, and David Cotton of Meridian Health.
