Google To Add Office Space In Farmington Hills

FARMINGTON HILLS (CBS Detroit) - Tech giant Google is expanding its presence in Metro Detroit.

Google will be leasing 90,000 square feet in the 696 Centre building on Farmington Road, near I-696, for vendor operations.

According to real estate website loopnet.com, the 264,022 building was built in in 1985.

Farmington Hills officials declined to comment on the possibility of Google coming to the Oakland County community.

The announcement comes nearly one month after Google announced that it would move into an existing building, and build a new building, on its new campus Traverwood Dr. in Ann Arbor.
