GM Foundation Gives Grants To 3 Detroit Charities

DETROIT (AP) - The General Motors Foundation awarded grants to three Detroit charities in honor of the automaker's former chief executive.

GM Foundation President Vivian Pickard presented the grants to the charities on Monday. They're being given as a tribute to former GM Chairman and CEO Dan Akerson and his wife, Karin.

Pickard made stops at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, Coalition on Temporary Shelter and Habitat for Humanity Detroit.
