Giant Squid! What Happens When Dad And 4yo Imaginations Run Wild In The Car Wash

I pulled into the drive-thru car wash and on turned my cell phone camera to capture the look on my son's face. "Ahh! Giant squid!" he shouted and pointed at the soapy blue cloth curtain slapping at the windshield.

My son is just like me and it's no wonder we both share a fascination of the car wash. It's just so cool to ride in your car as it bumps along on a track full of Rube Goldberg-esque contraptions of sprays, brushes, cloths and blowers. It's kind of like a super short movie, but you end up with a clean car at the end.

Watching a kid's reaction to experiencing something for the first time is pretty great. Don't miss out on little moments like these with your kids. Take the opportunity to be silly. Engage their imagination in every situation. It's worth funny as heck right now, but something tells me it's important for their little developing personalities.
