Lions interview former Texans coach Gary Kubiak

The Texans, led by then-coach Gary Kubiak, were one of the most disappointing teams in all of football last season. After back-to-back playoff appearances in 2011 and 2012, the Texans finished 2-14 in 2013 and secured the No. 1 overall pick while also saying goodbye to the fired Kubiak.

But another team in need of an offensive-minded coach thinks Kubiak might be its man, as the Lions official website reported that the organization interviewed Kubiak on Monday.

"He seems to fit the profile the Lions have set up for their new head coach," writes reporter Tim Twentyman. "He's an offensive-minded coach with a history of working with quarterbacks and has head coaching experience."
