Funeral Held For Detroit-area Marine Who Died In Crash

LAKE ORION, Mich. (AP) - A funeral has been held in suburban Detroit for a Marine killed in a Black Hawk helicopter crash off the coast of Florida.

The service was held Saturday for Staff Sgt. Trevor Blaylock, a native of Lake Orion. Mourners gathered at Lake Orion United Methodist Church.

The 29-year-old Blaylock was among seven Marines and four Army soldiers killed March 10 when their helicopter crashed in dense fog along Florida's Panhandle.

Hundreds lined streets Wednesday in Lake Orion when his body was brought to a funeral home. Blaylock was a swimmer at Lake Orion High School and joined the Marines in 2006. He served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Staff Sergeants Marcus Bawol of Warren and Andrew Seif of Holland also died in the crash. Bawol's funeral was Thursday.
