Funds Being Raised For Families Following Deadly Head-On Collision On US-23

ANN ARBOR (WWJ) -- The family and friends of two teenagers killed in a head-on crash on US-23 south of Ann Arbor are raising money to pay for funerals after a fatal accident on Thursday.

Dakota Gonzales and Curt Orlowski of Tecumseh were heading home from their jobs at the University of Michigan when their car was hit by a pickup truck Thursday afternoon. The two teens had been painting and cleaning as student workers at the university.

The Tecumseh community has set up a page on the Go Fund Me website to raise money for the families.  So far more than $8,000 has been raised.

The two cars ended up in the southbound lanes of traffic right before the Michigan Ave./US-23 overpass. Both directions were closed immediately following the accident.
