Cleanup needed for about 70 gallons of fuel spilled at Detroit gas station

(CBS DETROIT) - Firefighters responded to the scene of a gasoline spill early Friday at a gas station in Detroit. 

The accident happened when a fuel tanker truck started moving fuel to an underground storage tank at the Amoco gas station in the 14440 block of Fenkell Street, the Detroit Fire Department spokesman said. That location is between Greenfield Road and Schaefer Highway. 

About 70 gallons of fuel was spilled as a result.

The fire department responded in just under four minutes after the call, with its hazardous materials team taking over the scene. 

Detroit Water and Sewerage Department also was notified.
