Free Ann Arbor House Is The Prize In This Sweepstakes

(WWJ) It's a chance to win a free house, and a cute one at that.

HGTV remodeled the Craftsman style 1920's Bungalow in the Water Hill neighborhood of Ann Arbor and is offering it up in a contest. Enter HERE.

Architect Dawn Zuber of Studio Z designed the home, taking the roof off to build a large master bedroom upstairs.

She worked with a local landscape architect for a beautiful water garden, chicken coop area and raised garden beds. She also worked with students at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, to get the job done.

"The house has a very deep lot so we were able to fit that in at the back," she said of the unique gardens. "And there's a garage with a screen porch that overlooks that, that I designed."

She added the house started out as a dilapidated bungalow.

Now, it's unrecognizable, with a new second floor and a reconfigured first floor.

The goal was simple, and complex: "To kind of respect the exterior, the Craftsman style experience and make it much more modern and livable for today's families," Zuber said.
