Flood Advisory In Effect In Washtenaw, Lenawee Counties

DETROIT (WWJ) -- As a line of storms rolls over southeastern Michigan, some residents will be making sure their basements stay dry this weekend.

The National Weather Service issued an Areal Flood Advisory for Washtenaw and Lenawee Counties effective until 11:15 p.m. Saturday.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, streets and underpasses, country roads, farmland and other low-lying spots.

Some areas that could see flooding include Ann Arbor, Adrian, Ypsilanti and Saline.
