Firewood Fail: Ridiculously Close Lawn Signs Are A Missed Connection

On neighboring blocks near my house there are two signs. One is asking for free firewood and another is giving it away. If there's an app for firewood -- these two need it. It'd be like the Tinder of firewood. Ha! Get it ... Tinder?

My wife Jen originally saw it and told me. She said, "Talk about a missed love connection," pointing out these two yard signs asking for and requesting wood. As I'm driving to work today I snapped a couple pictures -- not sure what I would use them for.

How unfortunate is it that these two people don't know how close they are to each other? I can see both of these signs from my driveway, but I assume they can't see each other. The "free wood" house took a huge tree (oak?) down last fall and they've been slowly getting rid of the gigantic sections of wood. The last hunks have been sitting there for at least a month. I'm guessing oak is a pretty desirable firewood right?

What's going on here? Should I intervene? I could knock on one of their doors, leave a note, move the sign closer to the main road, drop a trail of bread crumbs, make a series of arrows. I don't know.
