Firefighters Battle Condominium Fire In Commerce Township [VIDEO]

COMMERCE TOWNSHIP (WWJ) -- Commerce Township firefighters are trying to put out a fire at the Kingstowne Manor Condominium complex near Pontiac Trial and M-5 on Monday.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Department says there are no injuries reported. An engine and aerial truck from West Bloomfield are on the scene assisting.

WWJ's Lance Howard is above the blaze in Chopper 950.

"At least four of the units are still burning in the condominium complex. This particular building looks like it houses up to eight units," Howard said. "Fire crews are on the scene using latter trucks, a lot of the battle is going on in the attic area and through the roof of the condominiums."

Marion Cook lives across the street and she said that the building looks like a total loss.

"Probably everybody will have to be moving out, I don't know," Cook said. "It looks bad to me, but then it's happening in my yard, and so naturally it's upsetting to me."
