Fine Print: No Biscuits On McDonald's 'All Day Breakfast' Menu In Michigan
DETROIT (CBS Detroit) - "Menu items vary by location. Deliciousness doesn't" says McDonald's about its much-anticipated All Day Breakfast — which launched in metro Detroit and across the nation Tuesday.
But Michiganders seeking that Sausage Biscuit may be disappointed as they roll through the drive-thru at lunch. (No McGriddles or bagels either).
"Depending on the local market, All Day Breakfast will have a limited menu that focuses on either McMuffin or Biscuit items," reads some fine print on the McDonald's website. "The two menu options offer a very limited number of breakfast items — and there will only be one or the other available 'based on customer preference.'"
Michigan is apparently a McMuffin market. The available menu is as follows:
- Egg McMuffin
- Sausage McMuffin with Egg
- Sausage McMuffin
- Hotcakes with Sausage
- Hotcakes
- Sausage Burrito
- Fruit 'N Yogurt Parfait
- Fruit & Maple Oatmeal
- Hash Browns (at some restaurants)
There could be exceptions from restaurant to restaurant, McDonald's says, and those crispy hash browns will be had only at locations with enough fryer space — as the french fry remains king. (Although officials at McDonald's are reportedly working on a solution to that).
If the All Day Breakfast menu is lacking your favorite, don't despair. McDonald's says it could change down the line.
