Festival With Music, Arts, Crafts Planned For State Park

CHAMPION TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - A festival featuring music, arts and crafts is planned next weekend at Van Riper State Park in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

The Moosic & Arts Festival takes place Aug. 15 at the park in Marquette County's Champion Township.

The state Department of Natural Resources says the festival runs from 12:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the day-use area of the park. Performers, artisans and vendors will be on hand.

There is no charge to participate in the festival, but a Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry to Van Riper State Park.
