Ferndale Housing Commission Director Arrested For Burglary, Stealing Percocet

FERNDALE (WWJ) -- The Director of the Ferndale Housing Commission has been caught allegedly stealing prescription pills from tenants of an apartment building.

Following an investigation involving several agencies, Deborah Wilson, 52, was caught with 21 Percocet tablets. Investigators say she stole the pills from residents at the Withington West Apartment complex.

During an interview, Wilson admitted to stealing the prescription medication from the apartment investigators observed her leaving. She also admitted to stealing other prescription medications from numerous other tenants over a period of several months.

After she took the pills, they say, Wilson would replace the stolen medication with generic Tylenol tablets. Wilson be back in court on Monday.

Bond was set at $50,000 personal on three felony counts. Wilson faces two counts of home invasion and possession of a controlled substance (cocaine, heroin or other narcotics) less than 25 grams.
