Federal Agents Search Highland Park Home Of Senator Bert Johnson

HIGHLAND PARK (WWJ/AP) - State and federal agents are executing search warrants Monday at the Highland Park home and office of Michigan State Senator Bert Johnson.

Michigan State Police telling WWJ's Vickie Thomas that the raids are part of a joint state police and FBI investigation.

Over 20 agents converged upon the house around 5 a.m. according to neighbors.

Agents were seen putting papers in boxes and taking them out of the home on McLean Street near Woodward and Davison.

The Democrat represents the state's Second District, which includes Highland Park, Hamtramck, northeast Detroit, Harper Woods and the five Grosse Pointe communities.

No further information about the investigation has been released.
