Faster Horses will not return to Michigan International Speedway in 2026, township official says
Faster Horses, a multi-day country music festival, will not return this summer to Michigan International Speedway.
Cambridge Township clerk Rick Richardson said MIS officials told the township in late February that the event would not be at the track. He had no further details on the cancellation.
The nationally known festival had attracted about 40,000 country music fans to its summer music and camping party at the speedway in Lenawee County, Michigan. Activities included a car show and a fun run.
But it has an on-and-off history since its launch in 2013.
Faster Horses did not take place in 2020 because of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, resuming in 2021.
Then the festival organizers canceled the 20205 event, saying they were taking a year off "to make plans for a bigger and better Faster Horses for our fans who deserve the absolute best."
Faster Horses has not updated its festival website since making the 2025 announcement.
Dozens of country stars have performed at the event over the years. Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson and Hardy headlined the festival in 2024.
