14-year-old Detroit girl and her dog found two weeks after reported missing

A 14-year-old Detroit girl who was reported missing two weeks ago while walking her dog has been found, police say.

Detroit police confirmed to CBS News Detroit on Monday, March 16, that the teen and her dog were returned home safe. It is unknown where she was located.

The teen was reported missing on March 3 after walking away from her home in the 19400 block of Biltmore Street. According to her family, the teen took her pit bull out for a walk and did not return home. 

The teen's family says they've searched several neighborhoods across Detroit, posted flyers and even received some tips.
