Family Feud: Man Shot Dead While Trying To Move Out Of West Side Detroit Home

DETROIT (WWJ) - A family feud ends in gunfire with a 48-year-old Detroit man under arrest for the death of his nephew.

The incident happened Thursday night at a home on Evergreen Road near Fenkell, on the city's west side.

Family members say 24-year-old Brandon Jackson lived at the home with his uncle, but the two got into an argument when he tried to move out. At some point during the argument, the uncle allegedly grabbed a gun and shot Jackson.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found Jackson's body in a doorway. He was declared dead at the scene while his uncle was taken into custody without further incident.

According to reports, police had recently been called at least four times to respond to disturbances at the home.

An investigation is ongoing.
