Ex-NFL Player Hollier To Speak Against Mental Health Stigmas

DETROIT (AP) — Former NFL player Dwight Hollier is scheduled to deliver the keynote at an event in Detroit that exposes stigmas given to people with mental disorders.

The program will be held Tuesday at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center.

Farmington Hills-based Community Network Services and the Northeast Guidance Center in Detroit are putting on the event. The organizations advocate for fair treatment of people with mental health challenges.

Hollier directs transition and clinical services for the NFL. He played linebacker and spent nine years in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts.
