CBS DETROIT - In 2013, Max Scherzer won the Cy Young Award, married his lovely fiancée and made millions of dollars. His fantastic season last year set him up to likely earn tens of millions per year for the rest of his career.
Even Scherzer, however, cannot escape the perils of the infamous Detroit potholes.

Scherzer may not have to deal with the city's unfortunate road conditions much longer, of course. Scherzer becomes a free agent after the season, and since negotiations with the Tigers ceased this offseason and the organization released a tersely worded statement about the breakdown of talks, Scherzer will likely be leaving Detroit.
