'Equipment Problem' Leaves Thousands Without Power In Southfield

SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) - DTE Energy crews are working to restore power to about 4,000 homes and businesses in Southfield.

The outage is along Southfield Road between 9 Mile and 12 Mile roads. Residents tell WWJ the power went out early Friday morning.

DTE Energy officials say an equipment problem is causing the outage. Power is expected to be restored by late Friday morning.
