Enthusiasts Fill Woodward With Variety Of Classic Cars During 2015 Dream Cruise
ROYAL OAK (WWJ) -- The threat of rain didn't deter any die-hard car enthusiasts on Saturday, as Woodward Avenue was filled from Pontiac to Ferndale with the Motor City's finest classic cars.
Throughout the day, hundreds-of-thousands of classic car lovers enjoyed the sunny skies and warm temperatures along the 16-mile stretch for the 21st annual Woodward Dream Cruise.

One patron, Linda Brunette, has been attending the event since its inception in 1994.
"The people, the cars -- you see everything out here," Brunette told WWJ Newsradio 950's Lauren Barthold. "If you don't see it out here, they don't make it."
Though things stay relatively civil during the daytime, they can get a little rowdy after the sun goes down.
"Cars peeling out, leaving rubber on the streets," Brunette said.

Some attendees still lined the streets in Royal Oak after the cruise came to an official close at 9 p.m. to see the rides exit back to their garages.
"Every time we come down here there's a different type of car, a different type of flavor added to the style of the cars," watcher 18-year-old Andrew said, hopeful that one day he would drive is own Mustang in the event.
