Elderly Man Missing After Dropping Off Friend Is Located

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police say an 86-year-old man who went missing on the city's west side has been located.

Police has asked the public for help to find Otis Barnett, who disappeared at around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 12300 block of Monica, along I-96 just north of Grand River.

According to police, Barnett dropped off a friend in the area. When he didn't turn up later on, there were concerns about Barnett's well-being as he suffers from dementia and is diabetic.

Thursday afternoon, police said Barnett has been found and is doing fine. No further details were released.
